Hoima, Uganda — The Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom has congratulated Comfort Kainembabazi Abooki after she was crowned Miss Culture Uganda 2026/2027 at the grand finale held on February 21, 2026, at Forest Cottages Naguru in Kampala.
Abooki, who previously served as Miss Bunyoro 2024/2025, was celebrated by the kingdom for promoting Uganda’s rich cultural heritage and representing the Bunyoro people on the national stage.
The beauty queen hails from Ruyanja–Kibingo Ward, Hoima West Division, and is the granddaughter of the late Robert Kachope Akiiki, a family heritage that the kingdom says reflects strong cultural roots.
The kingdom praised her victory as a proud moment that elevates the Bunyoro cultural identity and showcases the region’s talent in national competitions.
In a statement, the kingdom expressed confidence that Abooki will continue to champion cultural preservation, youth empowerment, and heritage promotion as she prepares to represent Uganda at the Miss Culture International pageant in Jakarta, Indonesia, scheduled for June 2026.
The international pageant will bring together cultural ambassadors from different countries to promote diversity, cultural exchange, and global understanding.
Supporters and cultural leaders across Bunyoro have wished Abooki success as she prepares for the international stage.
