The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has recovered the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) Integrated Science answer scripts for 34 candidates of Bamure Primary School in Koboko District that had earlier been reported missing.

The scripts were initially flagged during UNEB’s routine quality control checks, prompting concern among parents and education stakeholders. However, investigations later established that the examination materials had remained at the school.

UNEB confirmed that the scripts were found sealed and intact at Bamure Primary School and were verified in the presence of police to ensure their integrity. The scripts have since been forwarded to UNEB for marking.

The examination body assured candidates, parents, and the public that the grading process would be completed in time for the national selection and placement exercise, and that no candidate would be disadvantaged as a result of the incident.

UNEB further emphasised that the situation is under control and reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and the protection of the credibility of national examinations.
