Pearl Banks Managing Director, Julius Kakeeto, was also recognised as a Fellow of the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services (UIBFS).

The awards were organised by the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services and the Uganda Bankers Association and were held at Mestil Hotel under the theme “Beyond the Finish Line.”

The ABAs seek to celebrate exceptional contributions within Uganda’s banking industry and to honour institutions and individuals demonstrating excellence, leadership, innovation, and professionalism.

Julius Kakeeto, the Managing Director at Pearl Bank (formerly PostBank) is congratulated by Fabian Kasi, Managing Director of Centenary Bank, after being recognised as a Fellow of the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services (UIBFS) at the Annual Bankers Awards.

Commenting on the Bank’s achievement, Priscilla Akora, the Head of Marketing and Communications at Pearl Bank, mentioned that the award confirms the Bank’s commitment to strengthening digital innovation and forging meaningful partnerships that drive financial inclusion across Uganda.

She said, “The dual awards demonstrate Pearl Bank’s purpose of fostering prosperity for Ugandans by extending access to financial services through strategic partnerships and agricultural financing.”

Representing the Governor of the Bank of Uganda, Mr David Kalyango, the Executive Director of Supervision, applauded all the winners and commended the organisers.

“These awards signify a deliberate effort to raise professional standards, inspire innovation and creativity, strengthen ethical conduct and recognise excellence along the entire banking value chain,” Kalyango said.

As Pearl Bank continues to roll out its rebrand across branches, products, and customer touchpoints, these awards serve as an endorsement of its purpose and its commitment to delivering innovative financial solutions.
