Budaka — The Uganda Police Force has arrested a key suspect in connection with the murder of Tumwebaze Pamela, the Director of Students Affairs at Uganda Christian University (UCU).

According to a statement issued by Police spokesperson Rachael Kawala, the Joint Security Task Team investigating the killing apprehended the suspect, identified as Taewaiko Dak Hussein, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from his hideout in Budaka District.

Police revealed that the suspect was found in possession of the deceased’s property, which they described as a critical piece of evidence linking him to the murder.

Preliminary investigations further indicate that the suspect is a former house help to the deceased.

Police said inquiries into the matter are still ongoing and pledged to provide additional updates as investigations progress.

“Investigations into the matter are ongoing, and further updates will be communicated in due course as progress is made,” the statement reads.
