The Uganda Police Force has assured the public that security across the country remains stable, urging businesses and residents to continue their daily activities without fear.

In statements issued on Saturday, ACP Kituuma Rusoke, the police spokesperson, said the current police deployment is purely preventive and aimed at protecting lives and property.

“The streets are safe, businesses should continue operating as normal, and no one should feel threatened,” ACP Kituuma said in a message shared by the Uganda Police Force.

He emphasised that the visible presence of security personnel should not be a cause for alarm but rather a reassurance to the public. “Our deployment is intended to ensure your safety and security,” ACP Kituuma added.

The police statement comes amid heightened public attention following the announcement of presidential and parliamentary election results, with security agencies increasing patrols in major towns and cities.

Police called on the public to cooperate with security personnel, remain calm, and report any suspicious activity through established channels. Authorities reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring a peaceful environment for all Ugandans as normal business and social activities continue.
