Hon. Opolot was accompanied by H.E. Elizabeth Sylvia Musaazi, Uganda’s Ambassador to Cuba, Amb. Elly Kamahungye, Head of International Political Cooperation, and staff of the Embassy of Uganda in Havana.

During the cordial engagements, both delegations exchanged views on expanding cooperation and consolidating the historic bonds of friendship between Cuba and Uganda. Discussions centred on strengthening parliamentary diplomacy, enhancing collaboration in education, health, and technical exchange, and identifying new opportunities for partnership that respond to the development aspirations of both nations.

Mr Núñez warmly welcomed the Ugandan delegation and reaffirmed Cuba’s unwavering commitment to reinforcing engagement with African partners. He highlighted the longstanding solidarity between Cuba and Uganda and commended the continued dialogue at the parliamentary level as essential to building stronger bilateral relations.
