Meet Kabeera Teddy Bronia: Tooro’s rising star of personality

Fort Portal — Kabeera Teddy Bronia, a 16-year-old student at St. Maria Goretti Girls’ School, is making a mark as a young ambassador of culture, confidence, and ambition at the recently held “Mr & Miss Heritage Tooro 2025–2027” pageant at Gardens Restaurant in Fort Portal.

The culturally rooted pageant celebrates Tooro heritage while promoting leadership, tourism, and community service. Kabeera stood out among the contestants for her vibrant personality and determination, earning the popular recognition as “Miss Personality.”

Speaking about her daughter’s journey, her mother, Grace Muhimbise, an entrepreneur and cross-border tour guide, said: “My daughter is passionate about beauty with purpose. She dreams of competing for Miss Universe in the future, and Miss Heritage Tooro is an important step in her growth journey.”

Voting for contestants was conducted online through the AfricaVotes platform, running from 24 October to 22 November 2025, with over 24,000 votes cast across all contestants. By the close of voting, Kabeera Teddy Bronia ranked 16th, garnering 143 votes, a show of steady public support in a highly competitive field.

Her mother expressed gratitude for the public support: “She is called Miss Personality… thanks for the votes,” she said.

In addition to her certificate and banner from the judges, Kabeera was also chosen to compete for Miss Universe in the future, highlighting her potential as a national and international cultural ambassador.

“I want to be popular. I love music. I want to learn how to play instruments,” Teddy told edge.ug. She also shared her love for politics, adding that her passion also includes becoming an air hostess.

Family, friends, and well-wishers actively supported her throughout the voting period, praising her confidence, articulation, and cultural awareness—qualities that reflect the spirit of the Miss Heritage Tooro initiative.

The Mr & Miss Heritage Tooro 2025–2027 pageant is a prestigious platform designed to nurture young leaders who can promote the cultural values of the Tooro Kingdom while engaging with modern leadership and community development challenges. Winners serve as ambassadors of Tooro culture, tourism, fashion, talent, and social service.

The top vote-getters in this year’s competition included Mpanja Angel Patricia with 6,572 votes (27.13%), Murungi Caroline with 6,182 votes (25.52%), and Kyomuhendo Mark Murungi, a leading male contender, with 2,612 votes (10.78%).
