The Makindye Chief Magistrate’s Court has been informed that socialite Bryan Kirumira, popularly known as Bryan White, remains under medical care at Luzira Prison and was therefore unable to appear for scheduled court proceedings.
Prosecution reported that prison authorities confirmed the accused is still receiving treatment and will only be presented in court once his health stabilises. The court subsequently adjourned the matter to allow for his recovery and for investigations to continue.
Bryan White is jointly charged with multiple offences, including human sacrifice, manslaughter, conspiracy to commit a felony, rash and negligent acts, and giving false information to police. He denies all allegations.
The charges stem from the death of his former partner, 25-year-old Carol Nalubwama, who reportedly suffered fatal burn injuries during an alleged ritual-related incident at a residence in Makindye Division in October 2025. Prosecutors say investigations into the circumstances of her death are ongoing.
During the latest court session, four co-accused appeared before the magistrate and were further remanded as inquiries continue. The presiding magistrate stressed the need for thorough investigations before the case proceeds to a full hearing.
The matter has been adjourned to a later date, with the court expecting updates on Bryan White’s health and the progress of investigations when proceedings resume.
