Pearl Bank (formerly PostBank Uganda) has launched a new festive initiative dubbed “Pearl Santa”, aimed at celebrating and appreciating customers across selected branches this holiday season.
The campaign will feature surprise visits from “Pearl Santa,” who will spread Christmas cheer through interactions, cake cutting, and festive giveaways.
Priscilla Akora, the bank’s Head of Marketing and Communications, said the initiative is designed to create meaningful and personal moments with customers during a season traditionally associated with joy, togetherness, and celebration.

“This festive season, we wanted to celebrate our customers in a way that is personal and meaningful. Inviting our very own Pearl Santa into our branches is a fun, heartfelt way to thank our customers for their loyalty and to share the joy of the season with them,” Akora said.
She explained that the “Purple Santa” concept is inspired by the bank’s signature colour—purple—which forms a key part of the institution’s new corporate identity following its transition from PostBank to Pearl Bank.
“The rebrand is more than a name change; it is a renewed promise to serve our customers better. By welcoming Pearl Santa into our branches, we are putting a face to our appreciation and creating moments of human connection that build lasting relationships,” she added.
Pearl Santa will tour selected branches from 9th to 23rd December 2025, engaging customers, sharing festive treats, and sensitising them about the bank’s transition journey.

The initiative marks the bank’s first major customer engagement under its new name and reinforces Pearl Bank’s commitment to enhancing customer experience through intentional and personalised interactions.
Following the Bank of Uganda’s approval of its new operational license, Pearl Bank plans to roll out several activities aligned with its mission to foster prosperity for Ugandans—anchored on two priority goals: driving sustainable financial inclusion and stimulating entrepreneurship and service delivery.
