Uganda’s renowned dance group, the Triplets Ghetto Kids, is set to receive a hero’s welcome on Monday, August 3, 2026, after making history as the first Ugandan performers to take the stage at the FIFA World Cup.

The dance troupe announced their return home in a message inviting fans, well-wishers, companies, and government officials to join them at Entebbe International Airport at 10:00am East African Time.

“We are coming home! We are calling upon well-wishers, fans, friends, companies, and government officials to join us on Monday at 10am EAT at Entebbe International Airport as we return home,” the group said.

The reception will be held at Hamz Stadium, where a press conference is also expected to take place.

The Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), under its “Explore Uganda, The Pearl of Africa” campaign, is supporting the welcome event, celebrating the group’s achievement as the first Ugandan act to perform at the global football tournament.

The Triplets Ghetto Kids earned international attention after delivering a high-profile performance at the FIFA World Cup, further raising Uganda’s profile on the global entertainment stage.

The group’s journey to the World Cup spotlight has been marked by years of international recognition, including collaborations and performances alongside global music stars. Their World Cup appearance also attracted international media attention, including coverage by France 24, which highlighted the group’s preparations and global breakthrough.

The homecoming event is supported by several partners, including MTN Uganda, Pepsi, Nile Safari Lodge, Everyday Glucose Biscuits, Great Lakes Safaris, and White Horse Inn.

The Triplets Ghetto Kids, founded in Uganda’s Kampala suburbs, have become one of Africa’s most recognised youth dance groups, using energetic performances to showcase Ugandan culture and creativity to audiences around the world.
