President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has shared a personal New Year message, revealing that he and First Lady Janet Museveni spent part of the day with their family, including younger relatives he described as members of Generation Z.

In a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday, the President said the family gathering offered a light-hearted moment, noting that some of his Gen Z relatives are “even taller than me.”

“I have been telling some people that I have Gen Z members in my family; you can see that they are even taller than me,” Museveni wrote.

The President and the First Lady used the moment to extend New Year wishes to Ugandans, wishing them a “happy and prosperous new year.”

Museveni’s message struck a warm and informal tone, offering a glimpse into his family life while joining millions of Ugandans in marking the start of the new year.
