The legendary Congolese gospel music group Makoma paid a courtesy visit to Anita Among at her Kololo residence ahead of their upcoming concert in Kampala.

The visit comes as New Vision Group marks its 40th anniversary in the media industry.

During the meeting, Speaker Among thanked Don Wanyama for promoting Uganda internationally and for facilitating the visit of gospel musicians who appreciate the country.

She encouraged the visiting artists to continue speaking positively about Uganda even after returning to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, describing such promotion as an expression of patriotism.

“Uganda is a God-fearing nation, and we are happy to host fellow gospel musicians during this holy period,” Among said.

The Speaker also expressed appreciation for Makoma’s contribution to the global gospel music industry and urged Ugandans to attend the group’s concert.

The gospel stars are scheduled to perform at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds in Kampala as part of the New Vision 40th anniversary celebrations organized by New Vision.

Event organisers have set ticket prices at Shs150,000 for VIP and Shs250,000 for VVIP.

The concert is expected to attract gospel music fans from across Uganda and will feature the group’s popular worship and praise performances.

Organisers urged the public to arrive early to avoid congestion and enjoy the event experience.
