Kampala — Makerere University’s College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT) has celebrated the promotion of Dr. Robinah Nakawunde Kulabako, Head of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, to Associate Professor.

In an announcement on social media, CEDAT congratulated Dr. Kulabako, describing the promotion as “a true win for CEDAT and Makerere University.”

“This recognition reflects Dr. Kulabako’s outstanding contributions to civil and environmental engineering, her commitment to research, mentorship, and academic leadership,” CEDAT stated.

Dr. Kulabako has been instrumental in guiding students and faculty in civil and environmental engineering research, while leading departmental initiatives that promote sustainable infrastructure and environmental solutions in Uganda.

The promotion to Associate Professor underscores Makerere University’s dedication to academic excellence, research innovation, and leadership development within Uganda and the broader East African region.

“CEDAT is proud to celebrate this milestone, which highlights the university’s commitment to nurturing talent that addresses both local and global engineering challenges,” the department said.
