Singer Lutaaya graduates with Bachelor’s degree from IUIU

Kyotera – Hon. Geoffrey Lutaaya, Member of Parliament for Kakuuto County and founder of the popular Da New Eagles Band, has added an academic milestone to his list of achievements, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Management from the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU).

The graduation took place during IUIU’s 34th commencement ceremony on or around December 20, 2025. Despite his dual careers in music and politics, Lutaaya pursued higher education, demonstrating a commitment to personal growth and professional development.

His wife, fellow musician Irene Namatovu, took to social media to celebrate the achievement, praising his dedication, perseverance, and ability to balance multiple responsibilities.

“This is an inspiring accomplishment,” Namatovu wrote, highlighting Lutaaya’s determination to pursue education alongside his demanding roles in Parliament and the music industry.

Lutaaya’s graduation underscores the importance of continuous learning and serves as an example for young Ugandans aspiring to excel in multiple fields.

Congratulations to Hon. Geoffrey Lutaaya on this remarkable achievement, marking yet another chapter in his diverse and impactful career.
