WAKISO — Police in Kajjansi have arrested two suspects in connection with an aggravated robbery in which occupants of a home in Wakiso District were allegedly attacked by armed assailants.

The robbery occurred on August 21, 2026, in Sekiwunga Cell, Kitende Ward, Kajjansi Town Council, Wakiso District.

According to police, the suspects were armed with pangas when they attacked the occupants and robbed them of several items.

The first suspect, identified as Kakoza Derrick, a motorcycle rider, was arrested on August 22, a day after the alleged robbery.

Police said some of the property reportedly stolen during the incident was recovered from Kakoza’s home during a search.

Following further investigations, police arrested the second suspect, Mukalasi John Bosco, also known as Ali Junior, on August 25.

Police said Mukalasi had reportedly been released from Kigo Prison about a month before his latest arrest. He had been serving a sentence after being arrested by Kira Police in 2023 in connection with an aggravated robbery case.

Both suspects are currently being held at Natete Police Station and will be handed over to Kajjansi Police Division for completion of investigations before being produced in court.

Police said investigations into the robbery are still ongoing as detectives work to establish the full circumstances of the incident and determine whether other people were involved.

Authorities have assured the public that efforts are continuing to apprehend anyone else found to have participated in the robbery.

The suspects have not yet been charged in court and remain presumed innocent until proven guilty.
