KAMPALA, Uganda — South African DJ and singer Justin99 arrived in Uganda on Wednesday morning ahead of his highly anticipated performance at Club Guvnor’s Delirio Night in Kampala later this evening.

The amapiano star is expected to headline the midweek party, bringing his energetic DJ sets and popular hits to Ugandan fans as Club Guvnor continues to host international entertainers as part of its expanding nightlife calendar.

Justin99 has established himself as one of South Africa’s emerging amapiano acts, earning recognition through collaborations with some of the genre’s biggest names. He is best known for songs including “Uyaphi”, “Jaiva Ka Nje”, and “Piki Piki”, which have gained popularity across Southern and Eastern Africa on streaming platforms and in clubs.

His Kampala appearance comes at a time when amapiano continues to enjoy widespread popularity in Uganda, with local audiences embracing the South African dance music genre through concerts, club events and collaborations between Ugandan and South African artistes.

Club Guvnor announced Justin99 as the headline act for this week’s Delirio Night, an event expected to attract hundreds of partygoers from Kampala and beyond. The nightclub has in recent months hosted a series of high-profile entertainment events featuring both Ugandan and international performers as part of efforts to strengthen its position as one of the country’s premier nightlife destinations.

Fans began welcoming the artist on social media shortly after his arrival, expressing excitement ahead of his debut performance in Uganda.

Justin99’s visit also reflects the growing cultural and entertainment ties between Uganda and South Africa, with Kampala increasingly becoming a destination for international DJs and musicians seeking to tap into East Africa’s vibrant music scene.

The artist is scheduled to perform at Delirio Night at Club Guvnor later on Wednesday, where revelers are expected to enjoy an evening dominated by amapiano, house and Afro-fusion music.
