KAMPALA, Uganda — Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has once again set social media ablaze—this time over bold remarks about his daughters’ future husbands, drawing curiosity, criticism, and plenty of online banter.

In a string of posts on X, the outspoken general declared that any man hoping to win his daughters’ hearts must stand at least 6 feet 4 inches tall.

“For my daughters, don’t waste your time if you are not 6ft 4 inches. If you are shorter than that, you are going to the basement!” he wrote, in a characteristically punchy tone that quickly went viral.

The comments triggered a wave of reactions online, with some users treating them as tongue-in-cheek humour, while others questioned the message behind the exaggerated standard.

Beyond the controversy, the remarks have also drawn fresh attention to Muhoozi’s family life. He is married to Charlotte Nankunda Kainerugaba, a businesswoman who maintains a notably low public profile despite her husband’s high visibility. Their children, particularly their daughters, remain largely shielded from the public eye.

Observers say the episode fits a familiar pattern: Muhoozi’s social media presence often blends personal musings, cultural commentary, and provocative humour—frequently blurring the line between satire and serious opinion.

Whether playful or pointed, the “6’4 rule” has once again highlighted how statements from high-profile figures—especially those linked to Uganda’s First Family—can dominate national conversation within hours.
