KAMPALA — FUFA President Moses Magogo has congratulated Vipers Sports Club and Kawempe Muslim Ladies Football Club after the two clubs emerged champions of the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League and FUFA Women Super League, respectively.

Vipers SC successfully defended their Uganda Premier League title after finishing top of the table with 67 points, securing their eighth league championship in the club’s history. The Venoms have now won the league title in the 2009/10, 2014/15, 2017/18, 2019/20, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons.

In a congratulatory message, Magogo hailed the club’s leadership, players and supporters for their collective effort in retaining the championship.

“On behalf of FUFA, I extend my warmest congratulations to Vipers Sports Club for successfully defending the Uganda Premier League title for the 2025/26 season,” Magogo said.

“This achievement is a result of the determination and commitment of everyone involved. I congratulate the club leadership, players, coaches, technical staff, sponsors and fans for this success.”

The FUFA President also wished the club success as it prepares to represent Uganda in continental competitions.

“We wish the club continued success as they represent Uganda in the upcoming continental competitions,” he added.

Meanwhile, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC clinched the 2025/26 FUFA Women Super League title in dramatic fashion on the final day of the season.

The Kampala-based side finished the campaign on 52 points, narrowly edging She Corporate FC, who ended the season with 51 points.

The triumph marked Kawempe Muslim Ladies’ sixth league title overall and their second championship since the women’s top-flight competition was rebranded as the FUFA Women Super League in 2019.

Magogo praised the club’s resilience and consistency throughout the season.

“I extend my warmest congratulations to Kawempe Muslim Ladies Football Club for winning the 2025/26 FUFA Women Super League title,” he said.

“This success is a result of the determination and hard work of everyone involved at the club. I congratulate the club leadership, players, coaches, technical staff, sponsors and fans upon this achievement.”

The FUFA President further encouraged the champions to build on their success and continue flying Uganda’s flag high in future competitions.

The victories by Vipers SC and Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC cap off another competitive domestic football season and underline the growing strength of both the men’s and women’s games in Uganda.
