Kampala — The Uganda Media Centre has held a working visit to the Uganda Broadcasting Corporation aimed at strengthening public communication and improving the quality of national discourse.

The visit, held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, brought together officials from both institutions in what was described as a shared effort to elevate standards in information dissemination across the country.

During the engagement, UBC Managing Director Winston Agaba led the delegation, headed by Uganda Media Centre Executive Director Alan Kasujja, on a guided tour of the broadcaster’s television and radio facilities.

The tour provided the visiting team with a firsthand look at UBC’s operations, including content production and transmission systems, as well as its role in delivering public service broadcasting.

Officials from both sides emphasised the importance of collaboration in ensuring accurate, timely, and responsible communication to the public.

“At the conclusion of the visit, the two leaders agreed to strengthen the collaborative framework between the two institutions in pursuit of more effective national discourse,” a statement from the Uganda Media Centre noted.

The renewed partnership is expected to enhance coordination between the government’s communication arm and the national broadcaster, particularly in promoting informed public engagement and national development messaging.
