The festive season officially kicked off in style on Wednesday as Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU) unveiled its highly anticipated Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan, transforming the Railway Grounds into a hub of joy, music, and Christmas cheer.

For hours, Coca-Cola had teased “something exciting” brewing at the heart of Kampala. And when the moment finally arrived, it did not disappoint. Families, fans, and city revellers gathered at Railway Grounds to witness the flag-off of a nationwide caravan designed to spread holiday magic throughout Uganda.

Speaking at the launch, Kirunda Magoola, Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability lead at CCBU, said the caravan is a celebration of the brand’s customers who have supported them all year.

“Our consumers have walked with us throughout the year, and this season gives us the chance to celebrate with them. The Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan is our way of saying thank you and sharing in the joy of the festive season together,” Magoola said.

Emmy Hakashimana, Managing Director of CCBU, emphasised that the initiative aims to be part of the moments that define the season for many Ugandan families.

“As Ugandans come together to celebrate the season, we want to be part of those real magic moments. Through the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan, we’re bringing entertainment, family activities, and festive giveaways to communities across the country,” he noted.

The launch featured a dazzling live performance by The Stage Goddess Karole Kasita, whose energetic set ignited the Christmas spirit and set the tone for the celebrations ahead. Crowds cheered as Santa-themed trucks, Coca-Cola brand activations, and entertainment crews prepared to embark on a journey across Uganda.

The Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan will tour towns and communities nationwide, delivering music, treats, holiday surprises, and family-friendly activities aimed at bringing people together during the most magical time of the year.

With the caravan now officially on the move, Ugandans can expect a December filled with colour, festivity, and Coca-Cola’s signature sparkle — proof that indeed, Santa is in Kampala.
