MUKONO, – Police in Seeta are investigating a case of aggravated robbery and murder following the death of Dr Mubiru Peter, a radiography specialist attached to Happy Doctor Clinic.

According to a police statement issued on April 22, 2026, the incident occurred on the evening of April 19 at around 7:00 PM in Bagala Zone, Goma Division, within Mukono Municipality.

Police said Dr Mubiru was attacked by unknown assailants riding on a motorcycle as he returned home. He sustained severe head injuries during the assault and was rushed to Mulago National Referral Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Following intelligence-led operations, police have arrested several suspects believed to be connected to the crime. The suspects have been identified as Mususwa Abubaker, Olowo Joshua, Muyanja George, and Basibu Umar.

Authorities say the arrests mark a significant step in efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the killing.

Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Luke Owoyesigyire said investigations are ongoing, including efforts to recover exhibits and obtain a postmortem report to aid the case.

“We shall continue to provide updates as inquiries progress,” he said.

The killing has raised concern among residents in Seeta and surrounding areas over increasing incidents involving motorcycle-riding attackers, commonly linked to aggravated robbery.

Police have urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity as investigations continue.
