Renowned preacher and founder of ETM Church International, Pastor Ronnie Makabai, has proclaimed 2026 as the dawn of a spiritual “new era,” urging Christians to align their lives with what he describes as “Code 6” — a divine principle designed to spark transformation both spiritually and economically.

Speaking during a crossover service broadcast live on Christ FM and RTV, Pastor Makabai emphasised that spiritual timing, rather than political or economic calendars, defines the seasons of change.

The service drew thousands of worshippers both physically and online, while journalists Sadat Ogoye and Amanda Tana sought clarity on how believers could practically apply “Code 6” and why this spiritual timing matters.

“It’s a new era because the time of God has come,” Pastor Makabai said. “This isn’t about politics or global trends — it’s a shift in the spirit. God operates on His own calendar.”

He explained that “Code 6” represents a divine pattern through which individuals align their actions with God’s will. This alignment, he said, requires prayer, discernment, obedience, and sensitivity to spiritual seasons, unlocking both personal and national transformation.

“Many people fail not because of a lack of resources, but because they are out of sync with divine timing. Code 6 is about understanding when to act, when to wait, and how to move with God,” Pastor Makabai taught.

The pastor also cautioned against fear and uncertainty as 2026 begins, urging believers to embrace the season with faith, wisdom, and preparation. “This is not a time for confusion or reaction. It’s a time to walk in wisdom and spiritual understanding,” he said.

He emphasised that 2026 presents opportunities for spiritual growth, innovative economic ideas, and national clarity — but only for those willing to act intentionally under divine guidance.

Pastor Makabai’s message has sparked wide engagement among Christians in Uganda and abroad, with many interpreting “Code 6” as a call to re-evaluate priorities, embrace purpose-driven living, and step boldly into their God-given destinies.
