KAMPALA — Ugandan afro-dancehall singer Karole Kasita delivered a memorable performance on Thursday night as she headlined her highly anticipated and sold-out concert, The Power Within, at Kampala Serena Hotel.

The concert, which was fully organised and led by the artist herself, attracted hundreds of fans and entertainment personalities, cementing Kasita’s status as one of Uganda’s most influential female performers.

Themed around resilience, self-belief and inner strength, The Power Within transformed the Serena venue into a vibrant celebration of music, fashion and empowerment. Fans turned up in large numbers, many dressed in bold and glamorous outfits, creating an electric atmosphere long before the singer took to the stage.

When Kasita finally emerged under dazzling laser lights and a spectacular stage setup, the crowd erupted in excitement. She treated revelers to a catalogue of her biggest hits, delivering the energetic dance routines and crowd engagement that have become her trademark.

The concert attracted several prominent figures from Uganda’s entertainment industry, including fellow musicians Vinka, Martha Mukisa and Ritah Danchall, who joined fans in supporting the celebrated performer.

One of the night’s standout moments came when Vinka surprised concertgoers by joining Kasita on stage, drawing loud cheers from the audience.

“Vinka has surprised Karole Kasita on stage. What a performance,” one fan posted on social media during the show.

Media personality Douglas Lwanga was among those who congratulated Kasita following the successful event, while entertainment stakeholders praised the singer for pulling off one of the year’s biggest artist-led concerts.

Leading up to the show, some concerns had emerged over the ongoing Ebola situation in parts of the country. However, health authorities cleared the event to proceed, allowing music lovers to gather and celebrate in a controlled environment.

The concert’s success was widely viewed as another milestone in Kasita’s career, demonstrating her growing ability to attract large audiences and headline major venues independently.

Known by many fans as the “Stage Goddess,” Kasita has steadily built a reputation for high-energy performances and hit songs that resonate with audiences across Uganda and beyond. Thursday night’s sold-out spectacle reinforced that reputation and showcased the strength of her fan base.

As the final songs echoed through the Serena venue and fans danced late into the night, The Power Within delivered on its promise of celebration, empowerment and entertainment, further cementing Karole Kasita’s place among Uganda’s leading music stars.
