Ugandan singer Gloria Bugie, popularly known for her “Time Temala” hit, has pushed back against critics who have questioned her bold stage persona and choice of entertainment.

The recently crowned Zikomo Best Female Artiste East Africa dismissed suggestions that her body should be considered a “temple of God,” instead unapologetically describing it as a “wild sinner.”

Speaking to The Daily Monitor, Bugie said, “I think my heart is the temple. My body? Huh! It is wild. It is a sinner.”

Bugie, whose performances often feature provocative and innuendo-laced choreography, has faced criticism from industry peers and some fans. Despite this, she maintains that her approach has opened new opportunities, including brand endorsements and collaborations.

“Brand influencing and endorsements, like clothing brands. Because I am naturally a good-looking goddess. God has blessed me with everything, and I am grateful,” she said.

On handling controversies, Bugie remained unapologetic. “I do not mind people having controversies about me. I do not clear up any sh*t. Whatever you heard is true; move on with that. I will never come out to clear anything unless it is a court matter. That is the only time I will defend myself. Sorry, not sorry,” she stated.

The singer emphasised that she thrives on attention and has no plans to change her dress code or stage persona, reinforcing her commitment to maintaining her distinctive style and public image.
