Ugandan hip-hop artist GNL Zamba and his wife, singer and creative partner Miriam Tamar, have marked their 8th wedding anniversary, drawing warm reactions from fans and followers on social media.

The couple, who tied the knot on April 29, 2018, in Malibu, California, shared messages celebrating their enduring relationship and artistic partnership. Social media posts circulating online highlighted the milestone, with fans congratulating the pair on “eight years strong” together.

GNL Zamba, born Ernest Nsimbi, is widely credited with popularising Lugaflow—a fusion of Luganda and hip-hop—while Miriam Tamar has collaborated with him musically under their joint creative projects.

Their relationship, which spans more than a decade, has often been described as both a personal and artistic union. The couple previously celebrated their 7th anniversary in 2025 with poetic tributes reflecting on their journey of love, creativity, and shared cultural expression.

Over the years, GNL has frequently used anniversaries to publicly express admiration for his wife, once describing their bond in deeply personal and artistic terms in messages shared with fans.

The couple’s marriage—blending African and Western influences—has been noted for its cultural fusion and creative synergy, both on and off stage.

As they celebrate eight years of marriage, GNL Zamba and Miriam Tamar continue to stand out as one of Uganda’s most prominent entertainment couples, with fans hailing their relationship as a symbol of longevity and collaboration in the country’s music industry.
