KAMPALA — Nation Media Group (NMG) Uganda has announced the return of its television, radio, print and digital services following a temporary interruption that affected operations across its platforms.

In a statement released on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, the media company confirmed that its services were being restored in phases as it completed necessary operational arrangements.

“Nation Media Group Uganda is pleased to announce the resumption of its operations. Our services across television, print, radio and digital will be restored progressively as we complete the necessary operational arrangements,” the company said.

NMG Uganda thanked its audiences, advertisers, clients and partners for their patience and continued support during the period when some of its platforms were unavailable.

“We appreciate the patience and understanding shown by our audiences, clients and partners during this period and appreciate your continued trust and confidence in our brands,” the statement added.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining its role as a trusted source of news and information, promising to continue delivering professional journalism across its multimedia platforms.

“As we return to serving you, our focus remains the delivery of trusted and balanced journalism across all our platforms,” NMG said.

The statement was signed by Joe Muganda, Chairman of Nation Media Group PLC.

NMG Uganda is one of the country’s largest media organisations, operating several prominent brands including NTV Uganda, Spark TV, Daily Monitor, KFM, Dembe FM, The EastAfrican and Ennyanda.

The company did not disclose details regarding the cause of the disruption or the specific measures taken to restore services. However, the announcement marks the return of a major player in Uganda’s media landscape, whose platforms serve millions of audiences through television, newspapers, radio and online channels.

The resumption is expected to restore normal programming, newspaper production, radio broadcasts and digital news publishing as the organisation continues its operations in Uganda’s competitive media sector.
