The Electoral Commission of Uganda has received a fresh batch of ballot papers as preparations for the upcoming local elections continue.

On Sunday, January 4, 2026, the Commission confirmed that the new consignment arrived at Entebbe International Airport. The batch includes ballot papers for District Chairpersons and District Women Councillors.

The arrival is part of ongoing logistical efforts to ensure that all materials are in place ahead of polling. The Commission has been systematically distributing election materials to support a smooth and timely voting process across the country.

No further details on the distribution schedule were provided, but the Commission reiterated its commitment to ensuring transparency and preparedness ahead of the elections.
