Glasgow, Scotland — The Uganda She Cranes continued their sparkling run at the ongoing Celtic Cup at Emirates Arena in Glasgow with a hard-fought 53–51 victory over hosts Scotland, sealing their third consecutive win in the tournament.

Captain Mary Nuba delivered a masterclass in the shooting circle, dominating under pressure and earning the Player of the Match accolade after steering Uganda through a tense final stretch. Netball Uganda celebrated the performance, praising Nuba’s “imperious form” as the team closed out Day Three on a high.

The win over Scotland adds to Uganda’s earlier commanding performances, including a 65–38 opening victory and a powerful 72–46 triumph over Northern Ireland, where the team displayed exceptional discipline, pace, and defensive strength. Two players also earned their first international caps during the emphatic win against Namibia.

The Uganda Olympic Committee echoed the celebrations, highlighting the team’s “pride, passion, and pure dominance” after their convincing results. President of Commonwealth Sport, Dr Donald Rukare, joined the players after the Northern Ireland win, commending their rising momentum.

Netball Uganda confirmed that the She Cranes will next face Zimbabwe as they chase a flawless run in the tournament.
