Bryan White sent back to prison

City socialite Bryan White appeared in court yesterday as proceedings in his high-profile criminal case resumed at the Makindye Chief Magistrate’s Court.

The appearance comes amid ongoing investigations into charges linked to the death of a 25-year-old woman, Caroline Nalubwama, in a case that has attracted widespread public attention.

Court records indicate that Bryan White, whose real name is Brian Kirumira, is jointly charged with several co-accused, including his wife and other associates. The group faces multiple offences, among them human sacrifice, manslaughter, conspiracy to commit a felony, and giving false information to authorities.

During the session, court heard that investigations into the matter are still ongoing, prompting the presiding magistrate to adjourn the case to a later date to allow prosecution to complete inquiries. Reports indicate that the case has now been pushed to April for further mention.

The court has previously been informed that Bryan White has been undergoing treatment while in custody, which has affected his consistent appearance in court.

Prosecution alleges that the accused were involved in circumstances that led to Nalubwama’s death in October 2025, with claims that the incident occurred at the socialite’s residence in Makindye.

Despite the adjournment, Bryan White and his co-accused remain on remand as the legal process continues. Earlier court sessions also highlighted the seriousness of the charges, some of which carry severe penalties under Ugandan law, including life imprisonment and, in the case of human sacrifice, the death penalty upon conviction.

The case is expected to return to court next month for further updates as investigators finalise their inquiries.
