KAMPALA, Uganda — The High Court will deliver judgment tomorrow, Thursday, April 30, 2026, deliver judgment in the high-profile murder case involving Christopher Okello Onyum, who is accused of killing four juveniles.

The case, which has drawn significant public attention due to the age of the victims and the severity of the allegations, is now approaching its conclusion after months of hearings and presentation of evidence.

Court sources indicate that the prosecution and defence have already completed submissions, paving the way for the judge to deliver a ruling next week.

Onyum faces multiple counts of murder arising from the deaths of four children, an incident that shocked communities and triggered widespread calls for justice and stronger child protection measures.

If convicted, he faces the possibility of the maximum penalty under Ugandan law for capital offences.

The judiciary has not yet released detailed findings ahead of the judgment, but officials have confirmed that all parties have been notified of the ruling date.

Further updates are expected when the court delivers its decision on April 30.
