Kampala — Ugandan media personality, television/radio presenter, events host, and music promoter, Edwin Katamba aka MC Kats has expressed excitement after earning international recognition, saying Uganda “failed to appreciate” him while the world was watching.

In a post on X, the artist wrote, “Uganda failed to appreciate me but the world 🌎 was watching. Now on same nominations with Trevor Noah pick a leg who I am for now globe baby.”

MC Kats’ message highlights his inclusion in a global awards nomination alongside internationally renowned South African comedian and host Trevor Noah, signaling a major milestone for the Ugandan entertainer.

Fans have praised the musician’s perseverance, noting that his success reflects growing recognition of African talent on the world stage, even when local support is limited.
