President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appointed former National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Managing Director Richard Byarugaba and Moses Sabiti as Senior Presidential Advisors on Exports and Industrial Development.
The appointments are part of the President’s efforts to strengthen Uganda’s export performance and boost industrial growth.
Museveni said the two advisors will work with the exports secretariat in his office “to get better results.”
Byarugaba, a respected Ugandan business executive and banker, currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Old Mutual Investment Group, bringing wide experience in finance and institutional leadership.
Sabiti, a former Country Director at TradeMark East Africa, has also been serving as Vice Chairperson of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development (PACEID).
The new appointments are expected to reinforce government efforts to accelerate exports and industrial development as key pillars of Uganda’s economic transformation.
