Vice President Jessica Alupo has praised the conduct of the recently concluded elections, emphasizing the importance of peaceful participation and unity in the aftermath of the polls.

“In every election, there is always a winner and those that may not win. That must not be the end of the story,” Alupo said, highlighting the need for reconciliation and continued cooperation among political leaders and citizens alike.

Alupo also lauded President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his approach during the campaign period. “President Museveni has led the campaigns peacefully and fatherly, bringing together leaders of all colours. We should pay tribute to him,” she stated, calling attention to the calm and orderly manner in which the campaigns were conducted.

On a personal note, Alupo reflected on her uncontested victory as Woman Member of Parliament for Katakwi District. “Coming in unopposed as Woman MP for Katakwi District was made possible by the supportive atmosphere from my people and my opponent, who withdrew,” she said, expressing gratitude to her constituents and acknowledging the spirit of cooperation shown during the electoral process.

Alupo’s remarks underscore a broader message of stability and civic responsibility, encouraging Ugandans to respect electoral outcomes while maintaining unity across political divides.
