Minister of State for General Duties, Henry Musasizi, together with Hon. Amos Kankunda, Chairperson of the Finance, Planning and Economic Development Committee of Parliament, has visited the Inspire Africa Coffee Park in Ntungamo to assess progress on the project.

Hon. Musasizi commended the advancement of works, noting that the initiative aligns with the Government’s long-term development strategy of growing the economy tenfold through agro-industrialisation, with a strong focus on value addition as a driver of job creation and increased exports.

“Indeed, there is value for money. Government’s decision to invest in this coffee park was a wise idea,” the Minister said.

He reaffirmed that the Ministry of Finance will continue to support such projects to ensure they achieve their intended development outcomes.

The Chief Executive Officer of Inspire Africa Coffee Park, Tugume Nelson, who guided the delegation on a tour of the facility, said construction works and installation of machinery and equipment are nearing completion.

He thanked the government for its continued support and commitment to investing in the coffee park initiative.

Hon. Kankunda Amos, MP – Rwampara County (NRM) Chairperson Committee on Finance, Planning & Economic Development, described the coffee park as a strategic investment in Uganda’s coffee sector, urging the Government to sustain support for the project.

He also encouraged fellow Members of Parliament to visit similar investments as part of their oversight role.
