Police in Wakiso District have launched investigations into a case of aggravated robbery that occurred in the early hours of Thursday in Nakuwadde Village.
According to police reports, the victim was attacked by an unidentified assailant armed with a panga, who robbed them of a mobile phone and an unspecified amount of cash.
Following the incident, community members responded swiftly and managed to apprehend a suspect identified as Kiyinji Marvin, 21. He was reportedly found in possession of the stolen mobile phone.
The suspect was handed over to the police and is currently in custody, assisting with ongoing investigations.
Police have praised the prompt action of the community and urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious individuals or activities to the nearest authorities.
