Kampala, Uganda — Ugandan entrepreneur and educator Kato Joram Howard is steadily building a reputation as a champion of youth empowerment through business and sports. By combining enterprise development with athletic training, he is creating opportunities for young people to grow both professionally and personally.

Howard is the founder of Howard Gift Hub Branding and Sports Centre, a venture that provides branding, printing, and design services to schools, businesses, and community organisations. Through the company, he supports institutions seeking to strengthen their visibility and market presence while also creating employment and mentorship opportunities for young people interested in entrepreneurship.

Beyond business, Howard plays a key role in sports development as the head of Buddo Sports Academy at Buddo Secondary School. In this capacity, he oversees the training of student-athletes, guiding programmes that emphasise not only competitive performance but also discipline, teamwork, and leadership. The academy’s holistic approach aims to shape well-rounded individuals prepared for challenges beyond the sports field.

A former student of Buddo Secondary School, Howard later earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies with Education from Kyambogo University. His academic background has enabled him to merge classroom knowledge with practical skills, mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs and young athletes on sustainable growth and self-development.

“I believe in empowering the youth through both education and practical skills. When we combine business knowledge with sports discipline, we prepare our students for success in every aspect of life,” Howard said in a recent interview.

Through his dual focus on enterprise and athletics, Howard has gained recognition in Wakiso District and surrounding areas as a role model for youth leadership. His work reflects a growing movement in Uganda that sees business innovation and community development as mutually reinforcing paths toward national progress.

With a forward-looking approach, Kato Joram Howard continues to inspire the next generation, demonstrating that nurturing talent in boardrooms and on playing fields can transform lives and communities alike.
