Ugandan musician Cindy Sanyu has apologised to her fans after failing to perform at two scheduled shows in Buwaate and Mbale, citing a medical emergency.

In a statement shared via her official social media account, the singer’s management expressed regret over the abrupt cancellations.

“We sincerely apologise to the Cindy fans in Buwaate and in Mbale. Despite all our efforts, Cindy wasn’t able to make it to the two shows due to a medical emergency,” the statement read.

The management added that the team is working on possible ways to make amends once the artist has recovered.

“We hope to find ways to resolve this after her recovery. We apologise for the inconveniences caused,” the statement added.

The development sparked concern among fans, many of whom took to social media to wish the singer a quick recovery, while others expressed disappointment over the missed performances.

Cindy, a former member of the Blu*3 and now a leading solo act, remains one of Uganda’s most prominent performers, known for her energetic stage presence and hits that have shaped the country’s pop and dancehall scene.

By press time, details about the nature of her medical condition had not been disclosed.
