Kampala — Ugandan musician Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, and several members of his Fangone Forest crew were briefly detained on Friday following an incident in Kampala involving alleged assault and traffic-related offences.
According to online reports, the singer and at least seven of his associates were picked up by security operatives and held for hours over accusations that included assaulting a security officer, illegal use of sirens, overspeeding, and driving without valid licences.
The group was reportedly taken into custody during a coordinated operation before being transferred under tight security for questioning.
However, their detention was short-lived after intervention by Hellen Seku, a State House official, who reportedly secured their release later the same day. Footage circulating online showed Alien Skin walking free alongside supporters, flashing peace signs as crowds gathered to استقبال him.
