Thomas Tayebwa, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, joined family and friends at Mestil Hotel to celebrate the wedding reception of Eng. Andrew Shiimwe and Patricia Anihira, marking the culmination of a joyous union.

In his remarks, Tayebwa praised the exemplary marriage of the newlyweds’ parents, Canon Prof. Aaron Mushengyezi and his spouse Patience, noting that their enduring partnership provided a strong foundation and model for the next generation.

“This is a wedding where there was even no need to give any marriage advice because the parents have lived an exemplary life and given their children the best example to follow,” Tayebwa said.

However, Tayebwa did share a word of counsel with the couple, urging them to anchor their marriage in faith, mutual support, and shared commitment.

He encouraged Andrew to stand by Patricia as she pursues her full potential, acknowledging that men sometimes feel insecure when their partners achieve success.

“I encouraged Andrew to fully support Patricia as she strives to reach her full potential in all areas of life,” he said.

The reception brought together family, friends, and well-wishers to celebrate the couple’s union, highlighting the values of love, respect, and faith as central pillars for a strong and lasting marriage.
