A man has been arraigned before the Kajjansi Chief Magistrate’s Court on eight counts relating to alleged forgery, uttering false documents and fraudulent procurement of a certificate of title.

The Anti-Corruption Unit at State House said Ssekyondwa David Musisi was arraigned on the charges in collaboration with the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).

According to the Anti-Corruption Unit, Ssekyondwa allegedly forged a transfer form in 2018, purporting to have been signed by Mukabya Sentamu Augustine, the registered proprietor of land comprised in Block 265 Plot 4690, Bunamwaya, Wakiso District.

Prosecutors allege that Ssekyondwa used the forged document to claim that he had purchased the land from Mukabya.

He is further accused of presenting the allegedly forged transfer form together with a false passport bearing Mukabya’s details at the Wakiso Lands Office in an attempt to have the property transferred into his name.

The Anti-Corruption Unit said a second alleged incident occurred in January 2019, when Ssekyondwa allegedly forged and presented another transfer form purporting to transfer the same parcel of land from his name to Biira Udear.

The prosecution alleges that the second transfer form falsely represented Biira as the proprietor of the property.

Ssekyondwa was remanded until October 5, 2025, according to the Anti-Corruption Unit.

The charges remain allegations and Ssekyondwa is presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a court of law.
