Popular Ugandan singer Alien Skin has opened up about his recent absence from the music scene, revealing that the break was a calculated move aimed at building anticipation among fans ahead of his return.

The controversial entertainer said he intentionally stepped away from active music engagements to create demand for his music and allow supporters to miss his presence before unveiling new projects.

“I took a temporary break from music to create scarcity around my work. Now I’m back and this time I’m giving my fans a special gift, a concert on Eid,” Alien Skin said.

The announcement marks what the singer describes as a fresh chapter in his career following months of speculation from fans over his reduced visibility in the entertainment industry.

Alien Skin remains one of Uganda’s most talked-about musicians, known for his energetic performances, street-inspired music style, and the rapidly growing Fangone Forest movement.

During his remarks, the singer also addressed questions about whether fellow musicians would join him on stage during the Eid concert.

Alien Skin insisted that the success of the event would not depend on guest appearances, arguing that his own music catalogue is extensive enough to entertain fans throughout the show.

“Even if artists don’t appear, the show helps them and even if they don’t come I have many songs which take more than a day for me to perform,” he said.

His comments reflect the confidence that has helped him cultivate a loyal fan base and maintain a strong influence within Uganda’s music industry despite repeated controversies.

Over the past few years, Alien Skin has established himself as one of the country’s dominant entertainers, regularly drawing massive crowds and generating widespread public discussion both on and off the stage.

As preparations for the Eid concert intensify, fans are expected to turn up in large numbers to witness the singer’s highly anticipated return to live performance.

The concert is also likely to attract close attention from music industry observers eager to see whether Alien Skin can turn his temporary absence into an even stronger comeback.
