Two senior Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) officials have been recognised among influential figures in the global attractions industry by blooloop, an international platform covering the attractions sector.
UWA Executive Director Dr James Musinguzi and Commissioner for Community Conservation and Ex-situ Wildlife Services David Musingo were named in the blooloop 50, an annual initiative celebrating individuals whose creativity, innovation and contributions are shaping the attractions industry.
The recognition highlights Uganda’s wildlife conservation leadership and the role of wildlife-based tourism in connecting conservation efforts with visitor experiences and community engagement.
UWA said the recognition also reflects its commitment to conserving Uganda’s wildlife heritage for present and future generations while promoting sustainable tourism.
The blooloop 50 draws on participation from thousands of readers who help identify individuals whose contributions have made a notable impact on the attractions industry over the preceding 12 months.
The inclusion of two UWA senior officials places Uganda’s wildlife conservation leadership on an international platform that recognises individuals contributing to the development of attractions and visitor experiences.
For UWA, the recognition provides an opportunity to highlight the link between wildlife conservation, sustainable tourism and the relationship between protected wildlife areas and surrounding communities.
