Radio presenter Deejay Nimrod has revealed that NBS TV offered him a better-paying deal when he considered leaving Galaxy FM following a difficult programming change at the station.
Nimrod said the television station wanted him to host both radio and television programmes, including a Saturday night show, offering him an alternative at a time when he was uncertain about his future at Galaxy FM.
The presenter said his frustrations followed a programming reshuffle that moved him from the mid-morning show to Evening Rush.
He described the transition as one of the toughest periods of his career, saying it attracted criticism from listeners while some of his friends advised him to leave the station.
The pressure prompted him to reconsider his position at Galaxy FM, he said.
It was during that period that NBS TV approached him with an offer that would have seen him work across both radio and television.
Although the proposal promised better pay, Nimrod ultimately remained at Galaxy FM, where he continued working as a presenter and brand ambassador.
He has remained associated with Galaxy FM and Galaxy TV, including his work on Evening Rush and other programmes.
His revelation highlights the career choices facing broadcasters when changes in programming, audience reactions and competing job offers force them to reassess their professional direction.
Nimrod did not disclose the salary NBS TV offered or specify when the approach was made.
