Schools to reopen in phases
Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja says the enforcement to ensure that all schools and institutions of learning remain closed for 42 days has been effectively undertaken and
place alternative learning initiatives and will continue to perfect mass vaccination.
Addressing parliament on Wednesday, she said the Ministry of Education and Sports has put in
comprehensive plan for a phased reopening as “we work towards crackdown on the errant ones continues”.

The Education minister Janet Museveni said they were discussing the return of medical students to school soon.
According to Nabbanja, home-based teaching and learning will continue, in what is being described as a necessary cautious approach.
Regarding the management of transport and movement of facilitate travels for emergencies such medical appointments, travel permits were issued by the Works ministry.
To facilitate cross border travel, HE the President directed essential vehicles in essential sectors, the Ministry of Works and
movement permits out of 36,479 applications have been issued.
The Airport remains open while the ministry ensues the vaccination of the crew.
