Members of Parliament have expressed concern of the continued absence of Speaker Jacob Oulanyah.
Hon Olanya Gilbert and Joseph Ssewungu expressed concern during Wednesday plenary with the whereabouts of the Speaker of Parliament.
They say that the Public is equally concerned.
“We want to know what is the fate of the Speaker of Parliament. We are 529 MPs, even if he is down we must know that he is down,” Ssewungu pointed out.
He said when Rebecca Kadaga (former Speaker) was sick one time, MPs were informed.
“None of us is coming out to give the public what is happening to the Speaker,” Ssewungu added.
Recently, deputy Speaker Anitah Among told MPs Oulanyah was taking a break to meet with his family and rest owing to the stressful election campaign days.
The Speaker later flew to London to spend time with his son.
Among says afterwards, he will return to chair the house.
