A soldier attached to the national army, Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), is reported to have gone missing at the Rwandan border.
Private Baruku Muhuba is attached to 32nd Battalion Nyakabande Detach.
He is suspeted to have been kidnapped the Rwanda soldiers on Saturday June 12 at around 5:50pm.
Baruku was left behind answering to a call of nature but never returned.
His colleagues went back to search for him but never found his traces.
Army spokesperson Brig Gen Flavia Byekwaso told edge.ug Sunday afternoon that she has heard of the report but doesn’t have details yet.
“I know about it but I haven’t received details of the incident,” Gen Byekwaso said.
Byekwaso promised to get back to us once she has a clear picture of what transpired.
