President Museveni has ordered every vehicle and motorcycle to have a digital monitor.
“If you try to remove it,we shall go for you. It will show us where you at any one time. As soon as there is a crime,we go. I don’t want any wasting time in investigations.”
Addressing parliament at Kololo on Thursday, Museveni said the forensic capacity of the Police has now improved.
“I did not know that you can fingerprint these guns. I was told that we have done so to all or almost all guns. I have been told that they now know what gun was used in the Gen Katumba Wamala incident.”
He said the schemers of insecurity are wasting their time.
“They only provoke us and we increase our capacity.”
He cited the example of Karamoja, sounding out those working with the Turkanas to steal cows and hide them in Kenya.
Museveni said he would reach out to Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta to deal with Karamojong and Turkana cattle rustlers.
“We shall go for you jointly with President Kenyatta”.
