Singer Desire Luzinda has started a charity organization “Desire Luzinda Foundation International (DLFI)”.
Other co-founders include; Mathew Takatamoe and Eric Ndawula who are also her church mates at Phaneroo.
Desire who has been studying in the US, returned redeemed in the name of the Lord.
“I bless the Lord for using me to serve the world through #Desireluzindafoundation and for a successful launch that was not just a usual launch but a time to show forth His Glory.[Psalms 40:2 ] He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along,” she said following the Friday launch at Serena hotel in Kampala.
Fenon Records set the stage and lighting while singer Levixone graced the event with anointed music.
“It’s time we take it a step higher, carry the sound and the message to where it belongs, help those in need that’s why I have boldly founded DLFI. The equity parity is what we need,” Luzinda told her guests.
The event was also attended by Makindye East MP Hon. Derrick Nyeko, former ministers Miria Matembe and Amelia Kyambadde and Apostle Grace Lubega, among other guests.
Desire Luzinda is a Ugandan born artist based in America.
Luzinda sings in Luganda, English, and Swahili. In November 2014, Luzinda was involved in a sex scandal when she alleged that her former boyfriend started to.
In 2018, she went to California to pursue a medical career and is now a phlebotomist.
