A fire last night broke out at Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) Georgian House destroying some of the entity’s property.
The fire is believed to have started in the office Parking lot at Lumumba Avenue in Kampala.
It burnt three cars before being put out by the police fire brigade.
“We have had an unfortunate incident of a fire outbreak at our office parking lot on Plot 5, Georgian House,” URSB tweeted.
“The Police & Fire Brigade are on ground handling the situation. We will communicate more details once we have all the facts.”
Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman Luke Owoyesigire said the fire started at around 9:00pm.
Police suspect the explosion is linked to three other attacks in the city on Monday, one of which was meted on the former Jinja RDC Erick Sakwa’s car registration UG3348C.
