Former presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine Friday hosted National Unity Platform (NUP) leaders from Wakiso District.
In Wakiso, NUP won over 90% of the positions right from Parliament to the lowest position, and of course the people of Wakiso overwhelmingly voted for him in an unprecedented manner.
“Through the leaders, I sent a message of gratitude to the people of Wakiso for being part of the revolution against the dictatorship,” he said.
He charged the leaders to realise that they are not yet there until they attain complete freedom.
“Our leaders took an oath of allegiance to Uganda, NUP and the cherished values of integrity and servant leadership. Our message to our leaders has been clear- let the people of Uganda see that you are different from those of the sinking regime.”
“We are the government in waiting- our freedom was only delayed by Gen. Museveni but it was never stopped. The people of Uganda will prevail. Our duty is to keep the foot on the pedal.”
He appreciated Wakiso District Chairman Matia Lwanga Bwanika for leading the team, and for standing with the people consistently.
